Our Heritage

Our Heritage

We are not an old stodgy firm with expensive city offices but a group of entrepreneurial financial planners who left the “big” firms to provide cost-effective, personalized services to clients. FNI is not driven by sales quotas but by the gratification we get from satisfied clients. We are a highly-qualified and experienced group of professionals who are dedicated to providing top-quality services to our clients. As a virtual organization, we are saved from time-wasting commutes, water bubbler socials, and countless company meetings. We communicate internally via Skype and Facetime and meet with clients at their convenience, not ours.

Our firm is managed by our founder, Cindy Legault, who has over 3 decades of experience in consulting, financial planning and investment advisory. Cindy says her claim to fame is hiring the best people to represent the firm. We are a good employer as well, evidenced by our employees who only leave the firm to retire. Cindy’s corporate relationships with our flagship clients launched our entry into one-on-one financial planning services for employees in 401(k), 403(b), and union plans. From these engagements we have garnered many long-term client relationships. Through referrals we also add clients, and then there’s always the occasional knock on the door that has synergy.

Cindy is joined by her partners Chris Tilden and Marcia Lewis, both of whom have navigated decades of experience providing services to clients and hold the same principles in client service. It was a labor of love, but we have painstakingly developed both our corporate client business services and our financial planning & investment advisory practices into the smooth operation that we all enjoy today.

As qualified as our advisors are, we would not exist without our great back-office team of managers and client service professionals. We are very proud of our staff and the amazing services they provide. Every day they demonstrate a strong sense of ethics and care. We can’t leave this paragraph without sending a big shout out to our systems manager, Max Legault, who was the architect of our “virtual” environment ensuring that we could work almost anywhere with the highest level of security for our advisors and our clients. Thanks Max!
